Conversión con el espíritu - Conversion with the Spirit

Well, all is well. Lets see here.

Happy Easter! Here in bolivia people just use this holiday as an excuse to go and drink. Not much going on here jaja, Church was kinda nice, they talked about the importance of scripture study, and Elder Holland's talk.  However we did have some investigators in the church a new family we are teaching; I'll talk about them soon.

On Thursday I went on a split with a Elder Valdez from Argentina, he's from my group and used to be my old District Leader when I was in Betanzos, He's a good guy and we had a good day talking about old times and the old zone that was in Potosi. We had a really successful day tho, we found two new investigators and met a really cool family from La Paz, I'll send a pic of him and their kid it was a really fun cita.

Friday the sisters from Jardin, were having a baptism and since their church does not have a font they asked us to help out with getting everything ready and setting things up, it was a good baptism but something that I really loved was his testimony at the end ¨this is the church of Jesus Christ, and I will follow him, in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.¨ short but powerful, the dude is 19 and has a tattoo of a bat on his neck, that's conversion.

In the night we had made a cita with a family  a few days in advance it's a family that missionaries have been visiting often but they stopped teaching them. It's a mom and Dad with a little kid maybe 2 years old, amazing family we talked about the importancia of Christ in our lives and to always follow him, when at the end of the cita we found out why they stopped coming to church, so the mom actually has another family, of three other kids and the oldest in the other family is a member and on a mission in Mexico, they want to be baptized but they are waiting for him to get home and when she had the divorce of the other family it kinda pulled them apart and now her kids won't really talk to her, and the only reason they still talk is cause the son in Mexico. I think they will get baptized but when the kid comes home.  He will need to help with a lot of things. The lesson was really powerful and when they said all this the spirit was really strong in the room and we bore testimony of the love that the Savior has, and how all of us have struggles, or hard things in life but we can over come them. They felt it and both started to tear up, we ended with a prayer and they came to church on Sunday!

And this was a week in the mission. Life is good here, love you all and pray for you guys everyday, have a good week!

logrando metas - Achieving Goals

Como estan! What's up fam! This week was pretty good to us, we are keeping really busy but doing good, This week was really good in the zone we had 8 bautismos.  It was really awesome 6 were from one companionship and the other two from some other missionaries,  The missionaries that had the six were baptizing all the kids in a family and then their parents next month! Way awesome, I did half the interviews and my comp the other three, it was really fun, it's amazing to see people ready to make covenants with God, get baptized and just change there lives, all because of a book a spiritual feeling, something so small.  I heard three testimony's from a kid of 10 years, to 15 and 20, and they all have felt the spirit and have accepted to follow Christ; to come unto Him.

On Saturday we were helping some sisters cause they had the other baptism but they have a house church so they need to use our font, so we were helping them fill it up and get ready, and while we were waiting we had a reference come and we were gonna teach him.  Little did we know when he called it was his whole family! Super rad! They came into the church for the first time and talked to the missionaries for the first time, we shared with them the Resorted Gospel and the Book of Mormon, it was a powerful lesson and we took out a cita for next week I'll keep you updated on them.  It was awesome.

We started a new activity in the zone where we play futbol, once a weeek , and we can all have a good exercise.  Its really fun and the zone can all get a little closer, nothing too big but a good time jaja, We are going into winter here in Bolivia which is not really that bad, just cold in the morning and at noon still burning hot, but it's really nice to sleep in jaja.

Yeah this is my life! and life is good, love y'all.   Have a good one , all is well here.

General Conference and more Baptisms Coming Soon!

Whats up Clayton Fam! This week was good, I really enjoyed General Conference I was lucky enough to watch it in English with almost half the zone it was really fun!  We set up tables so we could all take notes and watch it in the stake center.  I don't really know which talk was my favorite.  I liked all of them really, but I mean how can you pick between apostles and men and women called of God, it's kinda hard.

However I did notice that all the apostles had a ton about them they were all really serious and straight forward, and than you got Profeta Nelson telling us to have daily repentance which was really awesome!

Also I totally saw Brandon Smith in the choir singing his heart out and the new temple in Samoa and San Pedro Sula, que chevere.

On Thursday in the week we had a intercambio with the new Elders MIller and Alvarado en Alamos 2, it was really fun I was with E. MIller my old comp from SIPE, we had a good day, they had an amazing reference to open the area who will be baptized next week, and we got him all ready for baptism this next week, really great guy that's so ready to follow Christ.

Yeah sorry the email is kinda short, love y'all and hope you have a good week! All is well here!

Busy, giving more talks in Church and All is Well!

Well I felt like we worked really hard this week, just in other things. With the zone opening another area and giving us no notice we had surprisingly no time to get them things such as, beds, desks, chairs, wardrobes, a fridge. So basically all week we drove around all of Cocha looking for things. Yes we found it all. they are living in a house with other missionaries, and have everything they need. we went to five different areas, one being my old area Lindo! That was really cool, I saw my old Dueño (owner) and had a good chat with him, he's a good guy and helps the missionaries out a ton! But I'm happy we got it all done.

I don't know if it was a world wide thing but yesterday was a special Sunday of the power in the Book of Mormon, and guess who had the talks! yup the two white missionaries in the ward jaja But it was fun my comp talked about Alma 32 and I shared the story of King Benjamin and some of my favorite scriptures, it was fun.  I have talked in almost all of my areas for at least 3 times, some a lot more, but this ward I'm at three.

We started a new activity in the zone where we help other areas so the whole zone goes to an area to contact and look for new investigators.  It's really cool and we will be doing it on Sundays for like two hours. It's really cool and helps the other areas out a ton. With everyone we found we gave the sisters over 30 references for them to visit; it will be cool.

Well yeah.. our weeks are kinda something. but life is good here.  Love y'all.  Also I'm reading D&C and I'm in section 131 and in the study guide it has quotes form William Clayton talking with Joseph Smith! Really cool.  Well I love y'all.   All is well!
