Now they can Call...What? But, we still need an Email!!!

Last week was the awesome phone call - which was also my birthday.  It was so fun to see  his face again and so soon after the Christmas phone call.  Still not sure how I feel about the being able to call change.  I know that for some,   Here's what I wrote on my Instagram about the change, I felt it was worth putting in his blog for record keeping and for those of you who may not be on social media, too.

Today’s announcement! This is big!!! Unbelievable, right? All I know is I have the best friends in the world...my phone went crazy. I love that you text’d! I still can't decide how I feel. People know how much I miss my missionaries when they’re gone. I know it will help some probably several. But the anticipation of those awaited calls may not make them as exciting. (No more Christmas countdown chain) Maybe Monday, this first time he could check in...😉because the emailing back and forth has been enough for me/us. But, I know for others it would be very helpful to call home. I’m thinking I’m ok to keep it as it is and we will let Caleb and his mission president decide what he will do. But, ours comes home in six months! So, either way it's fine with me!!! ☎️

Another Baptism, sending one home, and a new Companion from America!

HEY CLAYTON FAM!  Well this week a ton of things happened. So my comp is now on his way.  Quito, E. Angulo was a really fun comp and we had a good time together, I'll miss the dude, but I got a new comp, E. Gallini, from Texas!!  A Gringo jaja I'm really stoked not gonna lie, I didn't think I would  get another white dude for some time, and it has been a long time, a little more than 10 months jaja so I'm really excited, I know him pretty well and I'm excited to be with him.

Familia Mendoza! They got baptized!!! SUPER RAD  I can't describe how cool it was to see them get baptized, so super crazy story there oldest son Estiven, was the first to be baptized in April, after that there two daughters Nichol and Samantha in July and finally 9 of Febrero their two Parents, Guadalupe and Danny! Way Awesome the ward was so happy there was maybe 50 people at the baptism so there was a huge party after! I got some fotos too so ne se preocupe (do not worry)

This week was kinda long but also really fast. So my comp was really trunky but the dude had reason he is going home today, so that was kinda hard but we visited a ton of members and got some new friends, on Sunday we went and visited all his old areas which was kinda fun.. well I got to go back to Sipe SIpe which was really cool I love that place.

This week we have the baptism of Sonia, we are really hoping!! We have been teaching her and her family for a few weeks now and she's really ready to be baptized, but her parents need a little more time. but we are working on that!

New Shoes - Old Shoes

Kind of a short email, but I was proud of him as I opened up his pictures this week.   I thought, I have taught him well.  Taking pictures of his cut, stitches and now his comparing his old shoes and new shoes...obviously all those scrapbooking days where he sat by as I did those pages have paid off.  Proud moment for sure!  In reference to these shoes, he said he really didn’t need anything. But something whispered to my heart, maybe we should send him some new p~day shoes. Reminds me of President Kimball’s quote, “my life is like my shoes, to be worn out in service” Elder Clayton’s done a great job with this pair. I should send this picture to PF Flyers, they have held up very well with all he has done in that first pair.  Enjoy this short, but great email...

Pretty chill this week my comp is slowly falling apart, but we are still workin... Well trying at least, this week we visited a lot of members and taught the last few lessons with the people who are getting baptized this next week, Flia. Mendoz, and Sonia Choquevilka. also a few others maybe.. but we will see jaja if they keep there commitments and feel good about it! so we will see ja ja.

I got the package! Which was super dope! the PF flyers are lookin fresh, I took some comparison pics from the new ones, to the 18 month Bolivian missionary shoes.

This week I had a splits with E. Dalton again ja ja this is now my 3  split with him in my mission jaja it's rad we taught like 4 lessons in the day and ended with some chicken wings.   It's really cool to work with your comp in the MTC and than in the mission and shows how much we have changed and grown, in Spanish and espiritualmente (tranlation - spirtually).

Sorry I don't have many stories this week.  Enjoy this picture of my shoes, and my comp sleeping on the spare mattress that we have in the house. Love y'all Tenga una buena semana, y sabe que Dios nos ama, venga lo que venga y desfrutalo, TODO ESTA TODO BIEN.  Translation - Have a good week, and know that God loves us, Come what may come and Love it~ EVERYTHING IS ALL GOOD.

Just livin the Dream - and LOTS of Pics!

Tuesday- This day we our transfer weekly liders council, it was really cool, our mission psdt, gives us a class and it was really awesome he shared the section of DC 110 and how we have the keys of this ultimo despensacion and who gave these keys to Joseph Smith, Super rad, and on Thursday E. Angulo and I shared the class with the zone. it was rad.. Did you guys ever know how perfect this church is? Like its so perfect, everything we teach and everything we have and how we have it! All has reason and explanation, with the scriptures o just modern revelacion, me alegre mucho!

Wednesday. I went on splits with E. Schulz, who is my DL we had a really cool day, he made pancakes and I cooked up some scrabbled eggs. super rad it was a fun day with him, and he had four lessons that day and everyone was home, four were people with a baptismal date and a family that will have one soon, but it was a great day and the work is really awesome here in Colcapirhua.

Friday TEMPLO! Got to go to the temple today which was way awesome and a huge blessing! The session was awesome, and  a lot of fun with the zone, got some pics a bajo, and after the session we had a lesson with the familia Mendoza that we have been teaching for a few weeks now, they are amazing and are gonna get baptized next week! so I'm stoked for that!

Saturday in the morning we had four back to back to back to back citas in the church, that was fun we had the investigators come to us! jajaja just kidding but it was awesome, and really fun to see how different people are and it shows how everyone has different needs in the church and how you really need to watch for those signs of the spirit to know what to teach. and in the night we had a baptism!! yup! the familia Maldonado they are a less active family and we are getting them back in the church and what's the best way to help them than to baptize their daughter!

Well that was our week, we might have another baptism this next week if things go well, but we will see, I put like two weeks worth of photos on my drive and I'll just explain them here.
Most are us at the temple, us waiting in the clinic for like 2 hours just to cut my stitches in 2 seconds, my face jaja. deep frying Oreos, and a huge plate of food!

Well love y'all.  Have a good week, All is well here!
